Kittens on the left will lighten up like the kitten on the right

These are Silver Chinchilla Persians

A litter of five (5) one week old

These kittens too will lighten up as they grow

One is Black, a Shaded Silver and 3 are Silver Chinchillas

The Silver Division of Persians typically only have 2 to 3 kittens

to a litter.  These dams have produced five (5) kittens to a litter  Dams should be in excellent condition to produce healthy, vigorous newborn kittens

At this stage newborn kittens sleep and eat a lot

They can move around enough to search for the mothers breast

Newborn Persian Kittens

These 2 kittens are out of a litter of five (5)

They are seconds old, birth right after each other

with no time for mom to clean the first one

Sometimes it is 4.5 hours between each kitten,

even up to 24 hours or more

These kittens came out so fast both placentas

were not passed with the kittens

The left kitten is a shaded golden (will get more golden as it grows, like it's mother) and the right kitten is a silver Chinchilla (will turn white when older)

Kittens on above are born dark . . .

see below how they lighten up
